5-7+ years, Employee Benefits Counsel, Seattle, WA Area
Our Northwest regional health care provider has exclusively engaged us a legal role for their Seattle, WA area offices. Reporting to the Chief Labor and Employment Counsel, this position provides critical support to HR and Benefits staff, including representation and day to day advice in all aspects of employee benefits matters and related litigation. Requires significant experience (at least 5 to 7 years) practicing employee benefits and ERISA law including litigation. Licensed to practice in WA or ability to obtain license within 6 months.

Advises plan administrators and committees on administration, operational compliance and corrections. Drafts and/or reviews participant communications and disclosures, including summary plan descriptions, participant notices, participant inquiries and annual enrollment materials. Provides advice and guidance in the development of employee benefits plans, implementation strategies, communication and education. Provides training on employee benefits law issues to human resources and managers throughout the client's system.

4+ Years Environmental and Health & Safety - Seattle, WA How does an Environmental Attorney Join a Tech Company? Here it is!
Our large Seattle, WA technology employer is looking for a talented environmental and health & safety attorney to be based in Seattle and support a dynamic and rapidly growing business within the company. The business group is at the forefront of the "cloud" computing and service industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more. We are looking for a talented attorney to support our client’s world wide data centers that power their rapidly growing and evolving cloud computing business.

You will be part of a team responsible for counseling the company’s data center business on a broad range of environmental and health & safety regulatory and compliance matters. You will work directly with the world-wide environmental and health & safety teams and report to a senior environmental counsel. Principal duties include providing day-to-day advice on compliance issues, monitoring and advising the business of upcoming regulatory changes, developing and improving compliance policies and procedures, working cross-functionally with other data center teams to ensure compliance, negotiating commercial transactions with vendors, resolving issues that arise in the compliance areas and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries. Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.

Qualified candidates must have four or more years of legal experience advising on environmental laws. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, pragmatic, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. A J.D. degree and membership in one state bar is required. 1. Basic Qualifications: 4-6 years of legal experience in environmental compliance matters, with at least two years at a law firm. Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar.

2. Preferred Qualifications: Health & Safety compliance experience. Previous data center environmental compliance experience. A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience. Excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines. Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor.
