We're seeking a highly qualified legal counsel to oversee the legal aspects of our client's privately held business. The position will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing contractual documents with customers while minimizing risks, protecting contractual posture and adhering to company philosophy. The Corporate Attorney will also provide legal advice in other areas of our business. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • MUST HAVE 5 – 8 years of demonstrated contract negotiation and management experience in the construction industry.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage contractual documents based on internal processes to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures, as well as establish and maintain good business relationships with commercial customers. Types of contracts include sales agreements, rental agreements, service agreements, credit applications, and other contractual instruments relative to the construction industry.
• Excellent contract drafting and legal writing. Excellent issue resolution, negotiation analytical and organizational skills. Knowledge of negotiation tactics. Strong understanding of commercial contracts, general business, and legal terms and usage. Strong knowledge of the UCC and US construction contract laws.
• Ensure coordination with corporate or retained attorneys on complex contract matters that may have legal significance (such as, identifying special provisions, or non-standard or potentially high-risk terms and conditions).

Our large, multi-state health care provider has exclusively retained Linda Green Pierce and Northwest Legal Search, Inc. for a key role to be housed in the Seattle, WA area. Under guidance of the Chief Labor Counsel and in coordination with other experienced L&E attorneys, this position serves as L&E counsel to employers throughout their system, including representation and day to day advice in all aspects of L&E matters and related litigation. Represents employers in the system before the EEOC, DOL, and corollary state agencies, NLRB, and other administrative forums. Represents employers in the system in traditional labor matters, such as organizing issues from the pre-petition stage through post-election procedures, litigation before the NLRB, grievances and arbitrations, and serves as the spokesperson during collective bargaining negotiations for many of the collective bargaining agreements throughout the system. Provides advice and guidance in the development of labor relations strategies, communication and education. Provides strategic advice regarding all aspects of labor law. Requires extensive experience (minimum of 10-12+ years) in practicing employment and labor law, with in-depth knowledge of the NLRB and contract negotiations.
