4+ years-Assistant General Counsel, Greater Seattle, WA Area
The Assistant GC reports to the SVP of Government and Public Affairs. This position provides Federal and State regulatory legal advice and guidance to our health care provider's business units, including Sales, Underwriting and Actuarial Departments.

4+ years experience in a major law firm or corporate setting providing legal services related to Affordable Care Act regulations. Requires strong knowledge of compliance obligations affecting business and ability to navigate complex regulatory schemes. This position will deal directly with clients and senior level management in-house. WA bar current member or be eligible to take exam. Proven excellent negotiation skills; excellent research and legal analysis skills. Affordable Health Care experience from a Plan perspective ideal qualification.

4-6+ years, Corporate Counsel, Seattle, WA
Our client is seeking an exceptional commercial attorney for a Corporate Counsel position within its Business and Technology legal team in Greater Seattle. This position will work directly with the business and development teams to advise on, structure, draft, and negotiate deals in support of new and ongoing business initiatives.

Primary responsibilities include: Structuring, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of agreements, including technology development, licensing, marketing, and services agreements.

Supporting sales and marketing teams in the areas of antitrust, celebrity endorsements, talent agreements, consumer events, social media, promotions, user generated content, and privacy.

Providing on-going practical legal advice on a wide range of topics, including regulatory, compliance, and intellectual property matters.

Coordinating with Asian and European legal teams to guide global product development.

Advising hardware and software development teams related to intellectual property matters, licensing, and open source software.

Developing and implementing guidelines and policies and providing training to the business on compliance related matters.

Qualifications most desired include outstanding academic credentials, a law degree, membership in at least one state bar association, 4 – 6 years of commercial legal experience, excellent drafting and communication skills, and exceptional judgment and pragmatism.

Preferred qualifications include at least two years of experience in an in-house legal department and a strong technology background. Must be willing to travel and work extended hours when necessary.

Additional qualifications: Able to provide sound and practical advice on legal and business matters in a complex, fast-paced environment.
