Compliance Manager 5+ years; reports to Chief Compliance Officer (attorney).

Your current experiences should enable you to assist the CCO and Human Resources personnel in managing company's system for anonymous and confidential reporting of ethical and compliance concerns. Assist in internal investigations related to ethics, Code of Conduct and compliance violations.

Requires some corporate compliance experience, including providing training and developing compliance programs. Assist CCO in managing compliance and ethics matters.

In-house experience from large, public company with global responsibilities most preferred. Company seeks strong academic credentials; sophisticated, large law firm initial training, excellent communications (verbal and written) skills. Will consider top-performance associate from large firm environment (with matching employment and labor experiences for firm's large corporate clients), who is willing to learn more detailed compliance side.

Ability to travel 20-30% of the time, including international.

Our Seattle, WA area client is seeking an exceptional Senior Patent Counsel to manage their prosecution and clearance programs. The position reports to the Deputy Counsel, IP and Privacy. Minimum 10 years of patent prosecution and related experiences and PTO membership required. Advanced technical degree a plus but not required. Membership in WA state bar ideal, but not required. This high-profile position interacts with internal business teams, members of the Legal Department and senior management and attends global meetings concerning patent strategies (up to 15% travel.)

Some core duties: Implements a patent filing strategy; works directly with individual product teams for invention capture; evaluates third party patent infringement claims; strategically manages and utilizes company's patent portfolio toward business goals; provides support to attorneys on patent-related issues in technology transactions; provides advice and counsel to businesses on open source software patent issues; supports outbound patent licensing and patent cross-licensing; develops and conducts in-house training seminars, develops and oversee internal teams, among other duties.
