The candidates we most often are called upon to locate for our clients are attorneys with JD degrees from the top 25 nationally ranked law schools, who graduated in at least the top 25%, but preferably at or near the top of their classes, and with a stable employment record at top-tier law firms or corporations. More experienced attorneys typically must have a highly specialized area of practice expertise (patent, technology, energy, etc.) or a client following ($300K minimum) to bring to an in-house opportunity or new law firm, respectively. NWLS does not do placement in the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, domestic relations, or workers' compensation, nor are we generally able to assist solo practitioners without a portfolio following. Please note: We handle the placement of lateral attorneys only. We unfortunately cannot assist current law students or new graduates who have less than one full year of law practice experience after graduation from law school.
