Fortune 500 global leader is seeking a compliance counsel in Seattle, WA. You will manage, augment and administer the company's legal compliance and training program to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements as well as company policies and standards. This includes leading the annual risk assessment and compliance goal setting process; working with attorneys and business leaders throughout the organization to monitor, track, and help manage compliance and training goals; and coordinating with the company's Risk Management, Internal Audit, HR and Finance teams, both in the US and overseas. You will monitor, supervise and independently conduct internal investigations of fraud allegations and other potential legal and regulatory issues. And you will report on the activities, metrics, status and accomplishments of the program. Requires 8+ years of experience, at least 3 of which are regulatory or compliance experience with corporations, law firms or government entities. JD and membership in good standing in one State bar is required (WA bar not required but a plus). Some travel is necessary. Preferred is hands-on project management experience, including the ability to manage a large number and variety of mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous environments. Experience with corporate investigations.
